Nick Good followed up his pole position at the Easter Thunderball by qualifying in 2nd positon in the Pro-ET class at the FIA-Main Event held at Santa Pod Raceway over the end of May bank holiday. Pro-ET is now firmly established as the largest class in UK drag racing with 40 plus cars at all championship rounds. The 434cu in Chevrolet powered dragster was ultra consistant all weekend, each quater mile pass within a few thousandths of a second, with Nick achieving a personal best with a time of 9.192 seconds at 144.92mph over the quater mile. During eliminations Sunday evening Nick made it through to the quarter finals losing out to Wayne Hiscock in his Chevrolet Chevelle, and now lies 4th in the SPRC championship.
Although the event was affected by rain, over 40,000 fans came through the gates over the weekend. The next round of the championship is on the 17th and 18th of June, again held at Santa Pod Raceway.
