Santa Pod Summer Nationals
Posted by admin on 20th June 2006
Nick Good’s Chevrolet powered dragster performed well again at the third round of the SPRC championship held at the Santa Pod Summer Nationals. Despite temperatures that crept into the nineties during the qualifying sessions, Nick went into eliminations having qualified in fourth place in the Pro-ET class. This was the first time the car had been run in such hot conditions which can affect the performance of high horsepower drag racing engines. Progressing to the second round of Sundays eliminations gave Nick enough points to move him up into third place in the championship standings.
The next outing for the Wereham based team is this weekend at the Drachten Nationals in Holland, where Nick will be hoping to increase the power from the Chevrolet engine and move up into the quicker Super Pro-ET class.
Nick would like to thank Glas Weld Systems, BGC Motorsport, Black Bear Harley Davidson, WASP, Psycleworks, Alleyjax, Sandy Scooters, Hauser Race Cars, Webster Race Engineering, Toxico Clothing, Real Steel, Inkwell Printing, Penn Autos and A1 Motor Stores for their help. Two new sponsors will be announced on the teams return from Holland. Any local businesses wanting to join the sponsorship team can contact Nick on 01366 502000
